2012?! Whhaaaattt?!!

Happy New Year!

I cant believe another year has come and gone again! Whats going to happen this year? Well there will obviously be a new addition to our family.. Mr. Baby #2, No Name Wahlstrom. And our basement WILL be finished! There are no more "possibly"s or "it'll almost be done"... NO it will be DONE! It's about freaking time.

Alright onto resolutions. I've only got one: Lose all the baby weight & then some. One easy goal, err... sort of easy.

2011?! Happy New Year!

Here we go again. 2010 is out and 2011 is IN! I think its time to reflect on 2010 before I talk about whats to come in the new year. 


First, lets take a look at my resolutions from last year:



Lose Weight
Eat Healthier
Finish the Basement
Give blood 
Do More to Help Others


I thought that these five things would be easily done. Not true. The first one, lose weight - I'm happy to announce that I lost about 25 lbs! WOO! The second, eat healthier - was also achieved although certainly not on a daily basis. That is still something I need to work on. Third, finish the basement. HA! hahaha. HAHA! After plumbing issues,redoing plumbing, redoing duct work, moving the furnace & water heater and changed minds we have one less wall finished, another no longer exists & the ceiling is ripped out. Which means more gaming room but less "finished". *sigh* Fourth, give blood. Didn't happen. Lazy+Scared=Procrastination.
Fifth, do more to help others. I'm not sure that I did but I really felt like this was my year to find myself and I really got myself out of the 'rut' I was in. Even though I didn't know I was in it until I was out. :)
2010 was the year that my baby turned 3 & celebrated my 3rd anniversary of marriage to my great husband. <3 I read more books this year then I have in a long time. I finished the entire series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Muah ha ha! I discovered Dexter & my love for neat monsters. I started dance classes. Traveled. Saw my brother off to his mission. I had a successful garden. Maybe a little too successful. I still don't have to heart to give the cats away. So we still have them. I successfully sewed & was more crafty. I decorated cakes for money. :) & we made it through December with a Christmas Advent Calendar with only a few tears shed. 


I feel really good about 2010 & I hope that 2011 is as good or better!




Alright, so here are my resolutions for 2011:


Lose more weight (I have about 20 lbs left to lose)
Gym (mostly my Zumba class)
Diet, Rich & I are both doing it!
Basement - at least have the framing up & the layout worked out. 
Have a potty trained child!!!!!

*Note: For those of you who have been wondering; We are still working on having another baby but due to my angry ovaries I'm not sure when that will happen. We have been trying for over a year so maybe with a little luck we will have one by this time next year? We'll see. :)

Well, its officially 2010! Brand new year = Brand new layout for the blog! WOO!

Anyway, I've never been much good at making & keeping New Years Resolutions but I think this year will be different! How do I know? Because I've never made a real commitment to actually do one.

So here is my list:

1. Lose Weight... I'm not going to state how much weight I would like to lose but there is a number in the goal.
2. Eat healthier.
3. Finish the basement of our house!
4. Give blood (breathe!!! needles are scary)
5. Do more to help others.

Thats all I've got. So I think that should be really easy to accomplish! (famous last words maybe?)

So I am starting 2010 with this quote it mind! Its time to discover what 2010 has in store! WOO!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Where is 2009?

A lot has happened this year. Its crazy to think that it is almost over!! Lets see... In 2009 we:

1. Got settled into our house. Yes, we bought it in 2008 but didn't move in until just before Christmas.... So everything officially settled down in 2009.
2. I got a promotion at my job.
3. Richard still likes his job.
4. Katherine got married.
5. I quit my job.
6. We squeaked by another year of fireworks on Independence Day without injury or much hair loss.
7. We had several BBQ's and fires in our backyard (Note: fire pit)
8. I traveled to California twice... Texas once.
9. Richard traveled twice to foreign countries with his job.
10. We rearranged Amir's room, twice.
11. We remodeled the bathroom and the livingroom downstairs.
12. We turned the upstairs living room into the dining room/common room.
13. We fixed our yard so it doesn't look like a bunch of dead beat crazies live here anymore.
14. We got another dog, Jasper.
15. We dressed up for Halloween. (FINALLY!)
16. Richard and I both turned 23.
17. Amir and Ruthie turned 2.
18. Jasper turned 1.
19. We rescued two kittens. And we still have them.
20. We got fish.
21. Some fish died.
22. Katherine had a baby!
23. We were finally able to split Christmas between the families. It was rough, but we made it work.
24. I kept my blog updated most of the time!
25. I started a home school preschool with Amir... Even though I failed to record it on the blog I made for it. We still did it!
26. We got new bedroom furniture.
27. We got a new entertainment setup.
28. Rich actually took some time off! A miracle has occurred this year!
29. I successfully completed another two semesters of school.
30. I made home made Christmas goodies for friends and family as gifts... Yes from SCRATCH!

The thing I enjoyed most is Amir's funny antics... Most recent is scooting around the floor on his bum saying "I a crab!" My cute love!

Yep it was a busy year. I, of course couldn't figure out the order of the accomplishments this year so they are all over the place. Hopefully 2010 will be just as great and maybe, just maybe the basement will be finished!!! WOO!
