I've Created Another One!

Thats right. I have officially created a new blog focusing on one thing.... Food. Yesterday after writing down a recipe on a sticky note that I finally perfected I realized that if I put it away in my big cook book that it would get lost in the mix and I would never see it again. That is when I decided to make a blog for my recipe's etc. After Amir went to bed last night that is exactly what I did. I added a few recipe's that I had saved on my computer plus my sticky note recipe from last night. I still have a bunch more to find and add as well. Click here to see the new blog. I have also put a link up on the side of this blog so it can be found easily.

Progress...

One weekend down... One more to go. I got a few things done and I'm hoping to get the rest done this week/weekend or next week. Wish me luck!

I'm a bit scared of the rest of it... I'll probably take a few days and let the fear stew... In the meantime I will make a DI run..

Spring Fling!

I got this idea from my friend Lauren's blog... :) I'm really excited for this!

The Spring Fling Challenge is to "fling" 100 things by the first day of Spring, March 21st. And by"fling" they mean that you will get rid of in any way - paperbackswap, ebay, craigslist, Salvation Army, trash, recyling - just something that gets it out of your home and out of your car. It has to be GONE not just out of the home and waiting to be taken away. Then as a Bonus Challenge, try not to replace the things that you've flung.

The idea is to clean out all the scary places where you cram the junk that life brings your way....

Here are a few places I'm going to start....

• Fridge - Seriously, its so scary right now that I don't even like to open it!
• Under the bed - The dogs and cats play and hide stuff under there... SUPER SCARY!
• Closets - I know there is some stuff that I can get rid of in there. Ours and Amir's.
• Dressers - My dresser and Amir's... There are somethings in Amir's dresser that are too small that just need to be boxed up and put away (in case the next one is a boy) and in our dresser there is stuff that we don't wear, ever. Its time to make some room!
• Closet in the hallway - There are drawers packed full of stuff. That can be sifted through and organized at the very least.
• Under Amir's bed - The cats also hide under there. >.<
• Downstairs kitchen - I know there's lots of stuff we can get rid of down there. Its currently just storage.
• Garage - This isn't MY goal exactly.. More like my goal for Rich. :) It needs to be organized and I know he has some big plans for it that he needs to get done asap!
• Junk drawer in the kitchen - There's so much stuff shoved in there its ridiculous.
• Other utensil drawers in the kitchen - There's a lot of things that haven't been put away properly that can be organized.
• Cupboards - Organize, organize, organize!

That is my start. I'm sure that there is more that I haven't thought of yet. But I will once I get to doing all this!

Another One About Sami....

Thats right... I have more to say on the subject of my brother, Sami. Last night he was ordained as an Elder in the LDS church. I just have a few pictures from after the fact. Amir and I went but we did not go in with them. Amir was not in a very bright and shiny mood. Which was okay because I stuck my head in the room everyone was in after they were finished (looking for my family, I don't just randomly stick my head places it doesn't belong, haha!) and it was HOT. Like 15 bodies in a small room hot.

After we went out to get icecream but it ended up I was the only one who got dessert. Rice pudding without raisins. mmmmm!

The Beginning of the Garden

Well its officially begun. Just about everything that I have planted is starting to come up.... The basil that I planted in one of the pots (from my last post) is finally starting to grow. I planted those WAYY before the stuff in the pictures below. I'm not sure if they will grow because Amir has messed with them a few times. So, fingers crossed!

One of them has tomato's, pie pumpkins, large pumpkins and spaghetti squash....

I have two little green house trays. The other has more large pumpkins, spaghetti squash, sunflowers and two other types of flowers.

Amir helped me plant all of this. He also has his own separate pot of regular sunflowers... Which are growing extremely well. They have found a home in the kitchen window above my sink. They get lots of sun there.
