Amir had his first day of kindergarten. I cant even believe how fast time has gone. And how old I feel! I have a school-aged child!! WHAT!?

4th Birthday Party

Today we had Amir's 4th birthday party. We had a Pumpkin party at the park! We had cupcakes, the boys played in the pond and caught little fish & the kids painted pumpkins. The party turned out really awesome. Lots and lots of kids! Amir had a lot of fun with all his friends and family at the party. THANK YOU to everyone who came and made it great!

First Soccer Game

Well the title of this blog says it all. Saturday was Amir's first official game. It didn't take much coaxing this time for him to play. :) He had lots of fun.

After a while of playing. Amir and another boy decided to lay down in the middle of the game. They musta been tired. Ha!

Soccer Baby

Yep, my boy started soccer yesterday. It took him a while to warm up... By 'a while' I really mean almost the whole time. He was sleep deprived and wouldn't eat breakfast so he was pretty grumpy. But the last five minutes or so he kicked the ball back and forth with another little boy who was also reluctant to play with the rest of the kids. So that was pretty great and we walked out feeling positive. Amir left smiling and saying how much he loves soccer. :) I'm glad that he did. We are going to get him a mini soccer ball so we can practice in the backyard. Weather permitting.



I hope that he really does love soccer as much as I did. Its such a great sport!

Hilarious Stories

My boy has a very creative mind. It seem like his creativity has doubled since he turned three. :)


Here are a few stories about him that I need to share. 


Story #1


We have been working on potty training now for a while. So the other day we were hanging out at home & he just had underwear on. I heard him grunting and making funny noises so I looked over at him and he was standing in the middle of the room & his face was bright red. I asked him if he needed to go poo on the potty. He said: "No, I closed the gate". At first, I had no idea what that meant, but it didn't take me long to figure it out. So I told him to go sit on the potty and "open the gate". He did. After, he was so excited that he went on the potty that he had his hands in the air and jumping up and down saying "Yay! I opened the gate!!" 




Story #2


Still working on potty training and one day at my in laws house he had gotten his pants wet so he was just in his shirt and underwear. He began singing "Row Your Boat" & it went something like this: "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream! Merrily merrily merrily merrily.... OH! I peed!" His underwear were soaking wet. I'm quite certain that when he began that song he hadn't peed yet but you never know.




Story #3


We have been working really hard not to say things like "idiot", "shut up" etc... We tell Amir that they are bad words. But sometimes he says them anyway. 
The other night while we were hanging out at my sister in laws house really late. We were talking and laughing about something and then suddenly Amir screams out in a demon-like voice: "No! IDIOT!" He wasn't talking to anyone in particular. It was just something he decided to say. Lately he's been experimenting with the word 'idiot'. Its a little frustrating. 
Anyway, I couldn't help but laugh. 

Three Years Old

Thats right. This last Tuesday my baby turned three! Seriously, where has the time gone?! We had a really fun friend party for him on Saturday. I'm so glad that all the kids got to come. He loves playing with his friends :) Here are some pictures of him on his Birthday:

Amir shares his birthday with his Auntie (my sister) I made good on my threats and had him on her 12th birthday! Muah ha ha!

Anyway, he's pretty much the cutest kid ever.


In other news! He had his well check today. He had his DTaP immunization. He was soooo good AGAIN and just said 'owe'. No crying, nothing! Not even a whine when I told him we had to go and had to stop playing with the toys in the waiting room. Could this be a sign of the year to come?!?!! I hope so! *Knock on wood*

Funny of the Day: Sleep Speak

Okay, so this really isn't a funny of the DAY.... But last night we had some family staying with us so Amir gave up his bed and slept with Rich and I. It was rough on him but he eventually went to sleep around 12:30am. Right after he fell asleep he started talking (at this point I didn't know that he was asleep) he was saying "one..... two...... he..... five...... seven....... stairs....... toast...." At first I thought he was just counting like he normally does to try to stay awake. But when he said "he" I looked and he was OUT. I started laughing out loud, it was so funny.I could only imagine what he was dreaming about. I love that kid.

Funny of the Day: I NEED

Today Amir was especially upset that Rich was leaving for work. He ran outside after him and cried at the gate in the back yard until Rich came back and gave him some words of encouragement. Some of those words being: "I'll bring you a treat when I get home". When Amir came back inside he did his own thing for about ten minutes then he came to me and said: "I need ice cream..... We need donuts... *gasp* LETS BAKE COOKIES!"  We gathered up the stuff to make cookies with and started to make some cookies. Three minutes in he lost interest (I wouldn't let him taste yet) and ate a hot dog while I made the cookies.

Funny of the Day: Breakfast in Bed?

We have leftover cheese cake and Amir woke me up this morning by bringing the entire box of cheesecake with a fork into my bed. He sat next to my head and tapped my forehead with the fork and said "Want some? Want some cake mommy?" 
He was angry when I got up and made him put a piece into a bowl instead of eating the entire thing.


Note to self: Don't put any cakes or sweets on the bottom shelf in the fridge. Otherwise they will end up in my bed.

Yesterday baby G came over for a visit. Him and Amir get along great! They are so cute together....
