Thanksgiving

This year was my family's year for Thanksgiving. It was Micah's first and he sure does love food!

An Uphill Adventure

This fall we went up by the B and took some pictures and explored. Amir had a ton of fun. And we got some great pics out of it!

Day's of Halloween...

This month was pretty eventful. We did a few "Halloweeny" things.... Some of the highlights were Cornbelly's.....

Amir climbed up the giant mountain of hay.

Next was BOO at the ZOO.....

We were vikings. 

Then Amir had his "Hooky Spooky" program at school.

And THEN... We went trick or treating...

And last, we went to a Halloween party. The kids played and even the really little ones got in on the action. Everyone was high on candy....

The "Rubber Egg" Experiment!

Last week, Amir wanted to do an experiment. So we decided on my brother's childhood favorite. The rubber egg! After googling and finding several options we decided to do more than one way. Hardboiled & raw. Which would work better?

We took the eggs and put them in a jar, one each.

Then we added food coloring to see how they would turn out and to keep track of which was which.

Add vinegar all the way to the top

Put the lids on the jars.

Wait THREE days ;)

These are two days in. They get bigger!

Done! Which one turned out better? The raw one. The green is the hardboiled. 

We bounced it and played with it. Right before we went outside to pop it.....

It popped IN my house. Luckily I have ninja reflexes and caught most of it in my hand. 

We will be doing this again & will pop it outside! There will be a video for that I'm sure. :)
