Easter - Playing Catch Up...

Yes, I've finally uploaded the photos from my camera! Over 2,000 since Easter... So I'm starting from the beginning...

Just a few pictures from that weekend. It was mostly uneventful other than the Easter baskets for the kids! And look at that awesome mom... Making... Breakfast? Frosting? I don't remember. ;)

Little Tikes Redo!

I bought this little car for my boys on a Facebook yard sale group. $10!! Yes its pink but I've seen it on Pinterest a million times that you can paint these suckers! So I did!

I used Rustoleum Spray Paint for plastic. I already had the red and I bought the black for under $5 at Walmart. 

There are some spots I'd like to go over with the red but for now I think it looks awesome. I'm looking for an Iron Man sticker to go on the door and a bike license plate for the back. I also read somewhere (for the life of me, I cant remember where) that if you rub baby oil over the painted plastic it will protect it from the sun. I will be rubbing that on it tomorrow, hope it works!

Father's Day DIY

I made these jars for my father in law and grandpa for fathers day. I think they turned out really cute!

We refinished our floors! (finally!) Left is before, right is after. Just in case you couldn't tell.. ;)






After months of having dingy floors from pulling up the carpet and [surprise!] had hardwood under it, we finally refinished the floor. Which also took about a month. But we painted the walls too in that time. We went from a ugly tan color to a light grey which I LOVE. We also painted the baseboards which come to find out were not white... But off white. And they look SOOOOO much better white. We haven't had the time to do the trim and doors yet, but the doors will be black! woo!
